Zilif Web
A downloadable game
A web of intrigue surrounds Zilif prefecture. News of the prince who's fourth in line for the throne of the Dimel Empire spreads quickly. The Dark Sun bandits make a raid upon their outpost, Ferdil, just north of Bisha Palace, where he would take residence. However, opportunists within the Dark Sun see an opening to remove a bounty hunter and newcomer to their order. All the while, there is a subfaction within the Sisters of Hope that is looking to carve out their own piece of the pie.
Combining varying systems from Might & Magic, Suikoden and Wild Arms, Zilif Web aims to bring a political drama to you!

Small update to the description that gives a bit more context to the game’s title. I may have been somewhat inspired by Weird and Unfortunate Things Are Happening in this regard.
ECN (Encounter?) Meter made me think of that, yes! ... Not sure how the names inspired you though.
"A web of intrigue surrounds Zilif prefecture." mmm.
Fourth in line being relevant? Rare!
forth > fourth
Kinda sounds like you might’ve figured it out, but…
Versus
That aside, ECN, and it’s related interface, is pretty much a direct influence from Wild Arms 3‘s encounter cancel system. I’ve this display/system in maybe two previous Ace games, but, this would make it the first occurrence in an MZ game for me.
*EDIT: Thanks for the spelling correction as well.
No prob! I'm not sure whether you didn't Reply right, so I didn't get the message... Good thing I checked manually!
Ah, I thought the connection would be more longer. Cool title though!
Looking at the pictures again... Nepholite? Is that a reference to this? It's the only thing I found online...

Another misspelling. The word I was looking for was “neophyte”, meaning beginner/novice. I largely presume the plural form would be “neophytes”? Maybe I just name that Unite “Neophyte”?
Regardless, putting that on the stack to change/update!
Ah. Note that Dictionary.com's example sentences lower on the page does confirm plural as "neophytes"!
May there be less typos in your future!
Whoa! Very nice! :) Can't wait to check it out, looks good dev!
Ooh, new Marrend game! Oh, not downloadable yet?
Intriguing meter! Ooh, Systems!
It wouldn’t be a proper “Marrend game” without systems!
